Top Seven Best Exercises for Summer
Now I know what you’re thinking, great another article about getting fit, but you need to check these exercises out. Summer’s coming up, and no one wants to be embarrassed being seen in their swimming suit, we all got a thin person in us, let’s try to help them get out.
1. Squats: quickly target all the major lower-body muscles and build balance and strength at the same time. Do 20 quick ones, 10 slow ones, or try to hold a squat for 40-60 seconds.
2. Running: requires little gear and boosts cardio fitness and leg strength. Try running a mile, don’t freak out you don’t have to run the whole mile just run for 30 seconds jog for 30 seconds etc.
3. Ab exercises: are adaptable to all fitness levels and can be done anywhere; you don't need equipment, but doing them on a stability ball works your entire core and reduces back pain. These are the work-outs everyone needs to do, I mean who doesn’t want nice abs? Do 3 sets of 15 crunches to workout your abs.
4. Lunges: are great all-in-one thigh, butt and calf strengtheners that also promote good balance and posture. 3 sets of 25 lunges will make you feel the burn.
5. Walking: is a simple do-anywhere-anytime leg toner and cardio booster. How hard is walking? Just walk a couple times around the block and you’re good.
6. Push-ups: are a no-equipment way to target the upper body and core. Everyone knows pushups are a great work-out. Try doing 3 sets of 15, if you can’t do normal push-ups use your knees (it’s ok), and remember to keep your back straight, your legs straight and your head up.
7. Yoga: promotes coordination, flexibility, concentration and relaxation. I know guys don’t generally like to do yoga, but it’s a good way to relax, and work-out at the same time.
If you do these exercises, once a day every day, (well I guess you can skip Saturday and/or Sunday) you will be a healthier, fit, and better looking person.
